Dental Checkups & Teeth Cleanings for Kids

The American Dental Association recommends bringing your children in to visit their dentist once every six months. During these visits, Dr. Drisdale and our friendly team will examine your little ones’ teeth and gums in search of any oral health problems as well as take necessary X-rays. We’ll also conduct a thorough cleaning of their mouth if they feel comfortable with letting us do so. We’ll remove any plaque and tartar accumulation, polish their teeth, and floss between each of their teeth to remove any food debris or plaque buildup.

Dental Sealants

The threat of cavities is always a concern, but especially so for younger patients. Dental sealants protect those difficult to reach back teeth sealing their grooves shut and preventing food particles and bacteria from taking root.

Pulp Therapy

Has your child suddenly begun complaining about a severe toothache or oral discomfort? This could be a sign of an infection that has developed beneath the enamel of their tooth, within their inner chamber. Untreated cavities can create a pathway to this area, allowing bacteria to infiltrate it and attach your child’s pulp. Fortunately, we’re able to treat the issue and help them avoid premature tooth loss with pulp therapy. All this entails is us accessing the inside of their tooth and sanitizing and treating the affected pulp.

Athletic Mouthguards

Does your child play sports and need effective, trustworthy protective gear? We craft customized mouthguards that are made from a durable acrylic material to cushion and guard their jawbone and teeth. That way, you can continue watching them play on the field without the lingering anxiety of them sustaining a serious oral injury. They’re also made to custom-fit their oral cavity, making it easier for them to breathe while running, jumping, and throwing.
