Intraoral Cameras

Dentist using intraoral camera to capture smile images

Intraoral cameras are small, handheld wands that we’re able to maneuver around your mouth to get an up-close and higher quality view of troublesome areas that we spot. The camera footage is connected to a large chairside monitor that you’ll be able to review alongside our team, so we’ll be able to better explain the issues that you face and how our recommended treatments can help. The footage also makes what may be invisible to the naked eye easily viewable, making our diagnoses more accurate.

All-Digital X-Rays

All digital dental x-rays on tablet computer

Today, X-rays are vital when it comes to dental care, but the traditional method for capturing them involves tedious wait times, hazardous chemicals, and a significant amount of radiation exposure. That’s why Dr. Drisdale is happy to offer digital X-rays as an alternative at his Midland, TX dental office. With this state-of-the-art technology, capturing images and viewing them on a nearby monitor takes mere seconds – no darkroom required. Better yet, they’re safer for the environment and simpler to transfer if needed. Necessary radiation can be reduced by up to 90% as well!

3D Cone Beam Imaging

Our advanced Cone Beam 3D Scanner is similar to a digital X-ray system, but more advanced. It’s able to capture a complete, panoramic view of your facial structure, allowing us to view the nerves, dentition, jawbones, and sinuses to better plan complex treatments like TMJ therapy and dental implant procedures. It only takes about 30 seconds to capture the digital panoramic of your facial structure as well, so you don’t have to worry about having to sit in an uncomfortable position for an extended period of time.

Trios® Digital Impressions

The Trios digital impression system

Traditionally, impressions for mouthguards, crowns, and other restorations are taken with a chunk of putty. Not only is this uncomfortable, but it’s not the most accurate method of capturing the unique structure of your oral cavity. Dr. Drisdale uses the Trios digital impression system to take a detailed, precise blueprint of your mouth for the most accurately-fitted restorations. It’s also a much more comfortable method of taking impressions compared to gag-inducing putty!
